Grading The Dolphins Draft Class

Round 1. Devonte Parker, WR  Louisville: He's a big body receiver at 6'3 209. He was coming off  foot surgery last season, But he played in 6 games last season and caught 43 basses for 855 yard with a 19.9 yard average and 5 touchdowns. Grade A

Round 2. Jordan Phillips, DT Oklahoma: He has first round talent and stats in his college career.
He can dominate at the point of attack. He controls the run game and he has nice pass rush ability.
He reminds me of Terrance Knighton of the Redskins. He does have questionable football character.
Grade B-

Round 4. Jamil Douglas, G Arizona State: What he bring is offensive line versatility to a Dolphins offensive line that struggled in 2014. He's best suited to play guard in the NFL. He has good awareness to pickup  defensive line stunts and blitzing linebackers. Grade A

Round 5. Bobby McCain, CB Memphis: He has a high ceiling at a slot corner. He is on the smaller side at 5'9 195 but he is as tough as nails and has nice ball hawking skills. Grade B

Round 5. Jay Ajayi, RB Boise State: He is a draft steal in the 5th round. He was projected as high as a late 2nd round pick, but he fall because of serious knee concerns. If he stays healthy he could be a starter for the Dolphins. He can be a potential replacement for Lamar Miller who is in a contract year.
Grade B+

Round 5.  Cedric Thompson, FS Minnesota: He showed great range at free safety in college. He can be a replacement for Louis Delmas, who's coming off of ACL surgery and is in a contract year.
Grade B

Round 5. Tony Lippett, WR/CB Michigan State: He has a very high football IQ, and is a very versatile player who can play both corner and receiver. I project him as a better cornerback then receiver where he can use his length and ball skills to make a big turnover. Grade B-

Overall Grade: B+
